About MOT
MOT is a gaming social network. It helps players find teammates by game, rank and region, then gives them a place to play together: servers with text and voice channels, squads, direct messages, events and a feed. It runs in the browser, as a Windows desktop app with an in-game overlay, and on Android, which is in testing on Google Play.
Why MOT exists
Online games match you with strangers, and chat apps give you somewhere to talk once you already have friends. The step in between, finding the right people to play with, is still mostly done by shouting into busy looking-for-group channels. MOT is built around that step: tell it what you play, your rank and region and what you're looking for, and it shows you players who fit.
Who builds it
MOT is built and run by Mohammad Otaqi, an independent software engineer, with no outside investors. It's a small project and we say so. When something is in beta, it's labelled as beta; when a feature isn't ready, we don't advertise it.
How MOT is funded
MOT is free to use. It's funded in two ways:
- Advertising on some pages of this website, such as the guides, and in the free version of the mobile app. On the website, ads stay on content pages and never appear inside the app itself.
- MOT Pro, an optional subscription that removes ads and adds extras such as a premium battle pass, exclusive cosmetics and more AI coach messages. See pricing.
Finding teammates, servers, voice, DMs and the feed are free and will stay free.
What we believe
- Who you play with matters more than which app you use. MOT works alongside the tools you already have, including Discord. You can even import a Discord server's layout.
- Safety is a feature. Blocking, reporting, two-factor authentication and clear community guidelines are part of the product, not an afterthought. MOT is for users aged 13 and over.
- Your data is yours. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why.
Our guides
We write practical guides for players and community organisers: finding teammates in specific games, writing LFG posts, running tournaments, setting up servers, voice chat and online safety. They're written to be useful whether or not you use MOT.
